Using obsolete apps or templates and plugins for them, or using simple passwords is always dangerous for your sites as these things make it much easier to hack them. Things can get worse when you have a few different sites since all of them will be vulnerable when an attacker takes over only one of them. For this reason we have developed JailHost - an advanced level security option that isolates sites from each other. If an Internet site is compromised, the attacker will not be able to see or access any other content outside the site folder, so all the rest of the Internet sites hosted within this account will be protected and will be intact. Using the JailHost option won't substitute carrying out routine script updates or using proper passwords, but it'll minimize any damage to your sites significantly, so you'll have to fix only one Internet site instead of all of them.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

We have included JailHost for all shared hosting solutions, so you could protect all of your Internet sites with just a few clicks within your Hepsia Control Panel. The feature is not enabled by default in order to prevent interfering with any sites where you may want visitors or admins to be able to access content from other folders inside your account, but activating it for all the other websites is really effortless. Unlike some other Control Panels where the vast majority of domains have their files in the exact same main folder, all domains and subdomains in Hepsia have their very own folders, which makes the control and the protection of multiple sites easier. In the unfortunate scenario of a site getting hacked, the rest of your sites will be safe and we'll have a couple of daily backup copies for the affected one, so that we will be able to recover it to its original state in a matter of minutes.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers

JailHost comes with all of our semi-dedicated server packages and you'll be able to activate it with several clicks. It is not activated by default because we do not want to prevent some scripts that may need to gain access to multiple folders in your account from functioning properly. You can activate JailHost for all other sites that you have from the Hepsia Control Panel and this can be done quickly even if you do not have any previous experience. What allows us to offer JailHost is the way in which Hepsia maintains multiple domains - they all have individual folders which could be "locked". In contrast, other widespread Control Panels feature add-on domains and the content of the latter is kept in the main domain folder, so if a single website is hacked, the entire account is hacked, which is not the case with Hepsia. In the event that an Internet site is damaged despite your efforts, we will be able to restore it the way it was in no time as we'll keep a few daily backups of the entire account.
